Our teams build the cloud platforms and data services that power Microsoft Security, helping customers protect complex environments and turn security data into actionable insights. We are looking for a Software Engineer who is curious, collaborative, and motivated by challenging technical problems and customer impact. With guidance from experienced engineers, you will design, build, test, and support well-defined features in cloud services, data pipelines, or platform tooling. You will gain hands-on experience with distributed systems, secure development, and live-site operations while strengthening your engineering judgment through feedback and code reviews.

** Responsibilities*
* + Designs and implements well-defined components of cloud services and platform tooling, with guidance from experienced engineers, to deliver scalable and reliable security capabilities for customers.

+ Builds data-processing pipelines and service integrations that enables reliable processing and exchanges of security data across products, services, and customer scenarios.

+ Collaborates with product managers, security researchers, and partner engineers to understand requirements, test ideas, and uses feedback to turn customer needs and research insights into production capabilities.

+ Writes clean, maintainable, well-tested code using secure development practices, with attention to error handling, data correctness, privacy, and tenant isolation.

+ Uses telemetry and debugging tools to investigate production issues and improve reliability, performance, and resource efficiency, while learning safe deployment and live-site practices.

+ Participates in design and code reviews, communicates progress and blockers, and improves development, testing, and deployment workflows through feedback and automation.
