The Transportation Supervisor supports the daily operations of the transportation department to ensure safe and efficient pupil transportation in support of the District’s instructional and activity programs for students. The role includes supervising transportation staff including bus drivers, dispatchers, routers, and other administrative staff as assigned. The Transportation Supervisor reports to the Director of Transportation.

Professional Technical – Level M. Step 1: $126,289 per year ($60.48 per hour), 261 days. Exempt position. Full benefit package available.

• High School diploma or equivalent;
  Bachelor’s degree in public administration, business, or related field is preferred.
• At least four (4) years of transportation operations experience, including bus driving, dispatching, training, or supervising staff.
• Washington state school bus transportation experience is strongly preferred.

Valid Washington State driver's license; valid commercial driver's license with school bus and passenger endorsement (preferred); valid Department of Transportation physical card; valid First Aid and CPR certification. Driver Trainer Certification or ability to obtain within one year of hire is preferred.

The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions require the following physical demands: lifting, reaching, carrying, pushing and/or pulling; walking and bending; frequent keyboarding. Generally, the job requires 40% sitting, 30% walking, and 30% standing. The job is performed primarily indoors with minimal temperature variations; some time outdoors in varying weather conditions.
