Construction Laborer

Job Description

Ewell Construction, Inc is seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Laborer to join our team. We are looking for a reliable, hard-working individual with a proven track record of supporting construction projects from start to finish. The ideal candidate will have the physical strength and stamina to handle the demands of a fast-paced worksite and a strong commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Site Preparation and Cleanup: Prepare construction sites by removing debris, trash, and potential hazards before and after construction.
• Material Handling: Load, unload, and transport building materials, tools, and equipment to and from designated areas on the job site.
• Equipment Operation: Operate hand and power tools, such as jackhammers, tampers, saws, and drills, as well as heavy machinery like skid steers or forklifts, if certified.
• Trades Assistance: Provide support to skilled craft workers, including carpenters, masons, and electricians, with various tasks as needed.
• Concrete Work: Assist with concrete tasks, including digging, back filling, mixing, pouring, and finishing concrete surfaces.
• Scaffolding and Bracing: Assemble and dismantle temporary structures like scaffolding and bracing.
• Safety Compliance: Adhere to all company safety policies and procedures, and use required personal protective equipment (PPE).

Qualifications

• Experience: Proven experience of a minimum of 5 years in a construction laborer role, including familiarity with various construction processes.
• Technical Skills: Proficiency in using hand and power tools and a strong understanding of different construction materials.
• Physical Ability: Must be in good physical condition, with the ability to perform strenuous physical tasks, including heavy lifting, bending, and standing for long periods.
• Teamwork and Communication: A team-oriented mindset with excellent verbal communication skills.
• Safety Orientation: A history of following safety principles and a strong understanding of OSHA standards.
• Certifications (A plus): Relevant certifications, such as OSHA 10 or 30, are highly desirable.
• Driving: Valid U.S. driver's license with a good driving record and reliable transportation.

Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus
Salary: $20+/hr. depending on experience
