Northrop Grumman’s Space Sector invites you to bring your pioneering spirit to our collaborative teams. As a Test Conductor – Level 2 or Level 3 located in Redondo Beach, CA, you’ll be a linchpin in missions of paramount importance, defining the art of the possible from day one. This position is 100% onsite and cannot accommodate telecommute work.
Work Schedule & Travel- Availability for 1st shift starting at 5 AM or 2nd shift starting at 2 PM. Must be flexible to rotate between day and night shifts as required.
- Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time (Baltimore, Virginia, Florida).
- Lead on‑site and off‑site fabrication and integration activities, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
- Mentor and coach junior technicians and engineers to foster skill development and professional growth.
- Demonstrate advanced communication skills, coordinating with technicians, various engineering disciplines, and program leadership to meet project objectives.

This position’s standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine‑hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications for Level 2- Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of professional experience – or Master’s degree with 0 years of professional experience. Will consider an additional 4+ years of experience in lieu of a degree.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance, SCI access, and complete a Counterintelligence Polygraph examination.
- Extensive knowledge of MLI materials and experience interpreting MLI templates, drawings, E6 documentation, and related process documents.
- Advanced MLI specific troubleshooting skills.
- Expertise in complex TIP fabrication and modification, including a deep understanding of non‑standard materials.
- Extensive launch support/final build experience.
- Ability to identify and lead initiatives for process improvements.
- Advanced integration skills, including deployable and various types of moving hardware.
