Northrop Grumman Space Systems is seeking either a Principal Computer Systems Architect (Level
3) or a Senior Principal Computer Systems Architect (Level
4) with expert knowledge of ground infrastructure requirements and specific automation techniques. This position is located in Redondo Beach, CA.

What you’ll get to do?

As a Computer Systems Architect, your duties will include reviewing, understanding and designing automation techniques to address a wide range of infrastructure requirements; understanding of automation for both Infrastructure as Code and cyber hardening/patching; working closely with software and systems engineering teams to ensure requirements are understood and blockers are elevated.

Basic Qualifications
  • Principal Computer Systems Architect: 5 years of relevant experience with Bachelors; 3 years of relevant experience with Masters; 1 year of relevant experience with PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Senior Principal Computer Systems Architect: 8 years of relevant experience with Bachelors in Science; 6 years of relevant experience with Masters; 4 years of relevant experience with PhD; an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
  • Active SCI/CI Poly required at the time of application
  • Current Security+ CE, CASP, CISSP, or similar DoD 8570 security certification
  • Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining Classified Windows/Linux Domains
  • Experience with VMWare implementation, migration, and maintenance
  • Experience with system design and architecture
  • Experience operating and managing systems within current applicable information systems compliance standards
  • Ability to interface with all levels of employees and management
Preferred Qualifications
  • Demonstrated experience in technical judgment
  • Experience working as part of an Agile development environment
  • Current CISSP security certification and CCNP network certification or similar
  • Understanding information technologies, as well as strong analytical and problem‑solving skills
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze high level needs utilizing use cases/scenarios and relate them to the requirements

Primary Level Salary Range: $ - $

Secondary Level Salary Range: $ - $

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
