Responsibilities- Installing, troubleshooting, and maintaining Linux workstations and servers.
- Installing, upgrading, patching, monitoring, problem resolution, and configuration management of systems.
- Developing and documenting technical processes and procedures.
- Collaborating with users, network engineers, cybersecurity and IT management teams.
- Participating in special projects and team initiatives.
- Reviewing trouble ticket queues to identify issues that need to be addressed.
- Self‑motivated ticket queue management without direct supervision.
- Maintaining high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Exhibiting good communication skills, an energetic approach, and patience with customers.
- Work reviewed for soundness of technical judgment and accuracy.
- Lifting equipment up to 40 pounds.
- Availability to work after hours and on weekends as needed.
- Bachelor’s degree with 0 years of experience, Associate’s degree with 2 years of relevant experience, or High School Diploma with 4 years of relevant experience.
- Academic experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux or similar.
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAM Level 1 certification within 6 months.
- Active DoD Secret security clearance.
- Master’s degree with 0 years of experience, Bachelor’s degree with 2 years of experience, Associate’s degree with 4 years of relevant experience, or High School Diploma with 6 years of relevant experience.
- One year of experience with Red Hat Enterprise Linux or similar.
- Ability to obtain a DoD 8570 IAM Level 1 certification within 6 months.
- Active DoD Secret security clearance.
- DoD 8570 IAM Level 1 certification.
- Linux certification (e.g. Red Hat, CompTIA, LPIC).
- Experience with NISPOM Chapter 8, DCID 6/3-ICD 503, RMF, STIG, JAFAN, or JSIG environments.
- Knowledge of running and remediating Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) on RHEL systems.
- Knowledge of Logical Volume Management (LVM) for creating and managing local storage volumes.
- Supporting RHEL Satellite Server (import/export patches, sync repos).
- Basic scripting experience with Bash and/or Ansible.
- Knowledge of Windows Active Directory and VMware ESXi.
- Knowledge of enterprise monitoring tools (e.g., Trellix, Solar Winds, Splunk).
Primary Level: $66,200.00 – $
Secondary Level: $79,600.00 – $
