Job Description & How to Apply Below

The role. Xtermicon is hiring a full-time, in-office Operations Manager in Redondo Beach to run the business behind the field team and modernize how we work. To start, a large share of your time will go to scheduling and coordinating our HOA and multifamily work. You will also own billing, vendors, fleet, and compliance, and you will replace manual, paper-based processes with better software and workflows.

About

Xtermicon.

We are a family- and owner-operated termite and pest control company with roots in Southern California dating to 1960. We serve homeowners, HOAs, and property managers across the South Bay, Westside, and greater Los Angeles. Our owners come from private equity and home services start‑up backgrounds, and we'll keep growing through both acquisitions and organic growth.

This role suits a builder who likes fixing broken processes and rolling out tools people actually use. You will report directly to the owner and have real ownership from day one.

What you'll ownHOA and multifamily scheduling (a major focus at the start)
  • Schedule inspections and treatments across HOA and multifamily communities, coordinating with property managers
  • Manage resident and building notices
  • Oversee large subcontracted HOA fumigation jobs to ensure projects run on schedule
  • Coordinate technician and repair-crew schedules, and keep multi-week projects on track
  • Onboard new HOA and property management accounts: client portal setup, insurance certificates, and first-service scheduling
Systems and process improvement
  • Lead the rollout and adoption of our field service management software across office and field teams
  • Map current workflows, find the bottlenecks, and redesign them with automation and better tools
  • Build and track operating KPIs (schedule adherence, AR days, callbacks), and own a monthly operating report on what drives job profitability
  • Write and maintain standard operating procedures so the business runs the same way every day
Billing and collections
  • Own billing, accounts receivable, and collections
Vendors, fleet, and compliance
  • Manage chemical ordering, inventory, and supplier relationships
  • Run the vehicle fleet: maintenance, registration, and records
  • Keep insurance certificates, licensing renewals, and client compliance requests current
  • Manage uniforms and equipment
People and coordination
  • Team leadership and supervision experience, with the ability to coach, mentor, and support field, office, and remote staff.
  • Customer service and communication skills, with a focus on handling inquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining client satisfaction.
  • Organizational and time management abilities for managing multiple tasks, priorities, and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Who you are Required
  • 5+ years of experience, including 2+ years owning operations at a field-service, logistics, or multi-location business
  • Hands-on back-office experience: scheduling, billing and AR, vendor management
  • A track record of implementing software or automation that others adopted, with results you can quantify
  • Fluent in spreadsheets and quick to learn new software
  • Comfortable working with field crews and making decisions without a playbook
Preferred
  • Experience with field service software (Service Titan, Field Routes, Pest Pac, Jobber, Housecall Pro), whether as a user or on the implementation side
  • Background in home services, property management, or fleet and hub operations
  • Pest control experience is not required. We will teach the industry; we're hiring for systems thinking and ownership.
  • Build, don't maintain. You'll design the systems a growing company runs on, not inherit a rigid playbook.
  • Grow with the platform. We're growing through acquisitions and organic growth, and the processes you build will scale to new branches. Your role grows with them.
  • Work directly with ownership. You'll report to the owner, whose background is in private equity and home services start‑ups, and you'll have a real say in how decisions get made.
  • See your impact. In a team our size, every process you fix shows up in the numbers within weeks.
Compensation and details
  • Salary: $72,500–$85,000 base, depending on experience, plus a performance bonus tied to operating KPIs
  • Benefits: Paid time off and paid holidays
  • Schedule: Full-time, Monday–Friday, in office. We're rebuilding how the business runs, and that work happens best side by side with our field and office teams
