Senior Accountant

Overview

A successful accountancy practice based in Redruth is seeking a Senior Accountant to join their team. The role involves preparing and reviewing year end accounts, tax returns, VAT, bookkeeping and providing wider all-around services as key right-hand support to directors and senior management. You will have increasing client management responsibility, and opportunities for team development and career progression.

• Prepare and review year end accounts for a range of clients, including OMBs, SMEs and corporate limited companies, and oversee personal and corporate tax compliance.
• Provide VAT and bookkeeping services; support wider client services and deliver high-quality accounting and advisory support.
• Act as a key support to directors and senior management; develop and mentor junior staff; contribute to client management and service delivery.

• Qualified or part-qualified (e.g., AAT, ATT, ACA/ACCA) or equivalent experience in accounts and tax within an accountancy practice.
• Experience delivering general practice services to sole traders, partnerships and limited companies across varied industries and turnover ranges.
• Recent Senior Accountant level experience or equivalent, with willingness for full-time or part-time arrangements.
