Carrington Wood is proud to be supporting an established organisation in their search for a Head of Finance. This influential role offers breadth, autonomy, and the chance to play a key part in strengthening financial governance and long-term planning.

What You’ll Be Doing:

✔ Leading the Financial Planning function, producing accurate long-term business plans and robust cashflow forecasts
✔ Managing the Treasury function, overseeing debt, security, compliance with funding agreements, and lender relationships
✔ Supporting senior finance leadership in securing appropriate funding for organisational needs
✔ Overseeing Tax Planning and ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and efficient tax strategies
✔ Ensuring timely and accurate completion of all regulatory financial returns
✔ Supporting the development finance function across new and ongoing projects
✔ Providing oversight of the purchase ledger function and ensuring strong system controls
✔ Ensuring financial records are accurate, secure, compliant, and supported by efficient, regularly reviewed processes
✔ Partnering with internal stakeholders to deliver high-quality financial information and insights for decision-making
✔ Contributing to the development of a data-driven, modern finance team
✔ Implementing and streamlining financial policies and procedures
✔ Deputising for senior finance leadership when required
✔ Providing financial insight and support to senior management colleagues

What We’re Looking For:

💡 Fully qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, CPFA, ICAEW or equivalent)
💡 Experience in preparing long-term financial plans
💡 Strong Treasury Management background
💡 Excellent understanding of accounting principles, regulations, and tax matters
💡 Proven experience improving financial processes and systems
💡 Proficient with accounting software and advanced Excel skills
💡 Confident working with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders
💡 Experienced team manager able to inspire, mentor, and drive performance
💡 Strong analytical, strategic and problem-solving abilities
💡 A collaborative, open, and accountable approach
