HGV Class 1 (C+E) Night Tramping Driver

Location: Redruth area, Cornwall
Pay: £16.71 per hour
Night Rate: £19.21 per hour between 00:00 and 06:00
Schedule: Monday to Friday
Start Time: Approximately 18:00

CDS Labour is recruiting experienced HGV Class 1 (C+E) Drivers for a well-established food distribution business specialising in the transportation of frozen seafood.

This is a night-tramping position involving long-distance deliveries in refrigerated vehicles.

• Long-distance transportation of frozen seafood
• Driving refrigerated Class 1 vehicles
• Night driving with approximate 18:00 start times
• Monday-to-Friday tramping
• Completing vehicle checks before and after each shift
• Ensuring deliveries are completed safely and on time
• Completing all relevant paperwork
• Following drivers hours and Working Time Directive regulations
• Maintaining professional communication with customers and the transport team

• Valid HGV Class 1 / C+E licence
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Previous Class 1 driving experience
• Comfortable with night work and sleeping during the day
• Willing to undertake Monday-to-Friday tramping
• Good knowledge of drivers hours and road safety regulations
• Reliable, professional and safety-conscious
• Refrigerated transport experience would be helpful but is not essential

• £16.71 per hour standard rate
• £19.21 per hour for hours worked between midnight and 06:00
• Regular Monday-to-Friday work
• Good earning potential through tramping hours
