Lead Teacher (Mild/Mod or Mod/Severe)

Creative Learning Center is a state‑certified, K‑12 private day school in California for children diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and other neurological disorders. It is part of the LEARN Academy, a national leader in special education, academic intervention, and behavioral services for autism.

Pay Range

Base pay: $2,000.00/yr – $2,000.00/yr (actual pay based on skills and experience).

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement student Individual Education Plans, individualized curriculum, and lesson plans.
  • Implement instructional activities that promote a climate of meaningful learning.
  • Identify, select, and modify instructional resources to meet diverse learning styles and special needs.
  • Assess changing curricular needs and propose improvement plans.
  • Create a positive environment encouraging active student engagement.
  • Collaborate with a team of OT's, SLP's, BCBA's, and supervisors.
Qualifications
  • Valid California Special Education Credential or enrollment in a certification program.
  • Bachelor’s degree required;
    Master’s preferred or intern student in Special Education program.
  • Autism‑specific or related certificate preferred, accepted with another teaching credential.
  • Previous experience with students with autism preferred.
  • Spanish speaking a plus; not required.
  • Physical ability to assume a variety of postures (stoop, reach, stand, kneel, squat, sit, walk, lift, pull, grasp) for extended periods.
  • Willingness and ability to implement safety measures consistent with PCMA, including therapeutic holds and transportation procedures during crisis situations.
