Distinguished Architect, Enterprise Data & Integration

We're seeking a Distinguished Architect to set the strategic direction for enterprise data and integration architecture across our global landscape. In this role, you will hold accountability for canonical business entity models, operational integrations connecting transactional systems, and the analytical data flows that dictate how our business is measured and run.

Operating at significant scale across a systems landscape built through both organic growth and acquisition, you will partner closely with engineering, product, and data leaders.

Your architectural vision will shape major platform investments—including our ERP modernization program, the continued evolution of our data platforms, and AI-driven enablement across commerce and our supply chain.

This role requires in-office presence 3 times a week in Redwood City, CA or Atlanta, GA.

  Mentor senior and principal architects, enabling the engineering organization to build consistently against established reference patterns.

• Own Integration Architecture:
  Manage the integration layer across transactional systems, data lakes, data warehouses, and external trading partners to ensure order, inventory, product, and customer data flows reliably.
• Enable AI & Personalization:
  Design enterprise data architecture that makes data trustworthy and accessible for AI applications and conversational experiences, directly improving fan-facing commerce.
• Scale External Ecosystems:
  Ensure integrations with marketplaces, wholesale customers, 3PLs, and carriers are robust and capable of supporting the fan experience on a global scale.
• Protect Fan Data:
  Partner with Data Governance, Info Sec, and Compliance to ensure integration architecture meets stringent privacy, regulatory, and contractual obligations.

• Define Enterprise Data Standards:
  Establish the canonical models that shape how Fanatics Commerce represents its business in data, setting the blueprint for how new and acquired systems integrate.

  Drive the design of a metrics layer serving analytics and operational consumers, assessing enterprise data readiness for AI and agentic applications.
• Evolve Data Platforms:
  Shape the trajectory of our data lake and warehouse environments at enterprise scale, guiding the coexistence and transition of platforms like Snowflake, Star Rocks, and Iceberg.
• Advance Integration Maturity:
  Apply deep command of enterprise integration patterns including event-driven architecture, API governance, and streaming platforms like Kafka.
