The Corporate Security Manager
- Americas is one of three Regional Managers reporting to the Head of Corporate Security. The primary duties of this position are to integrate security into Equinix’s business operations. The successful candidate will lead and be accountable for driving the corporate security strategy across the Americas region with an added focus on Executive and Event Security.

• Complete periodic security assessments of offices and operations within the region and provide analysis to key stakeholders; drive the implementation of security best practices across all business units within the region
• Coordinate with Corporate Real Estate, Data Center Physical Security personnel and other internal teams concerning appropriate risk mitigation, security design and operational procedures in region including the corporate headquarters and Data Centers located in elevated risk environments
• Provide discreet security services to senior leaders as necessary during public appearances and events which may include driving/escort, close protection and associated advance work
• Maintain a level of familiarity related to technical security design and administration of access control, CCTV systems, intrusion detection and stay abreast of advancing technology in the protection of assets
• Support the development and execution of regional crisis response and business continuity planning initiatives, along with participation in regional exercises
• Be comfortable leading initial response to localized emergency incidents
• Promote a culture of personal security awareness by delivering relevant training via in-person sessions as well as online via Zoom or other remote learning and internal social media platforms
• Assist with the administration and continued development of the company’s global travel safety & security program and be available to immediately respond to security, medical or travel related emergencies
• Experience in coordinating protective security services in key Lat Am markets as needed
• Support large client-facing external events and internal functional team meetings through the creation and management of robust security plans tailored to the venue and attendee profile including venue and detail advances
• Establish and maintain close relationships with senior security managers in other multi-national organizations, regulatory authorities, security professional organizations and host nation law enforcement agencies
• Maintain ongoing situational awareness, intelligence dissemination internally and analysis
• Maintain liaison with, and provide professional consultation to, local management teams and Country Managing Directors

• This position requires an individual who has a broad range of executive security and program administration skills
• Someone who is equally capable of providing close protection support, conducting an assessment or representing a program
• Must be able to exhibit excellent interpersonal and communication skills at all levels within an organization, including executive level and board interactions
