Allstate Security is hiring a full-time Unarmed Security Officer for a dispensary assignment in Redwood City. This role combines security awareness with professional customer service: you will help protect staff, customers, and property while keeping access orderly and responding calmly to concerns.

Pay & Schedule

• Pay: $23.00 per hour.
• Schedule: Wednesday through Sunday, 3:00-11:00 p.m.
• Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week.
• Location: Redwood City, CA 94063.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible, professional unarmed security presence at entrances and assigned areas.
• Monitor access and perform  or screening as required by site procedures.
• Conduct interior and exterior patrols, including employee entrances, waiting areas, and assigned storage areas.
• Observe and report suspicious activity, safety hazards, and security concerns.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and access-control systems as assigned.
• Assist with security during deliveries, cash-handling procedures, and closing operations.
• Respond to disturbances and emergencies according to company procedures and contact emergency services when needed.
• Complete accurate incident reports, daily activity logs, and shift handover notes.

Site & Operational Expectations

• Follow post orders, dispensary access policies, confidentiality protocols, and applicable compliance procedures.
• Use professional communication and de-escalation skills when addressing concerns.
• Treat customers, vendors, and coworkers respectfully while consistently enforcing site rules.
• Stay observant, exercise discretion, and maintain a professional appearance.

Requirements

• At least 21 years old for this dispensary assignment.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to meet required background-screening standards, consistent with applicable law.
• Strong observation, communication, and report-writing skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and follow site instructions.
• Availability for the Wednesday-Sunday afternoon and evening schedule, including applicable holidays.
• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods, perform an eight-hour shift, and occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.
• Ability to operate radios and assigned equipment and monitor the surrounding environment.

Preferred Experience

• One or more years of security experience in retail, higher-risk environments, or cannabis facilities.
• Customer service, de-escalation, or conflict-resolution experience.
• Familiarity with surveillance and access-control systems.
• Additional security training or military or law-enforcement experience.
