The successful candidate will join a college dedicated to the students it serves.
Providing instruction in Psychology on the Reedley College campus and/or at off-site community campus locations, the instructor will be responsible for:
- Teaching a full schedule of transfer level psychology courses, including but not limited to general psychology, honors general psychology, social psychology, abnormal psychology, human sexuality, lifespan development, introduction to research methods in psychology, biological psychology, and statistics for the behavioral sciences;
- Developing curriculum and establishing new classes and programs;
- Maintaining currency in psychology;
- Involvement in the community and working with campus organizations;
- Participating in program development and expansion of communication courses, including industry and career connections and Guided Pathways;
- Identifying, interviewing, and recommending potential adjunct faculty to teach classes;
- Assisting in evaluating adjunct instructors;
- Serving on and attending department, college, and district committees as needed;
- Participating in program review, student learning outcome development and assessment to improve student learning;
- Teaching assignments in a variety of instructional settings and times, including evening and/or weekends, online or off-campus and large group instruction classes as needed;
- Otherwise fulfilling all of the duties and responsibilities of instructors as required by Administrative Regulation 7122; and
- Other duties as assigned.
