The ideal candidate will share Reedley College's commitment to educating its racially and socioeconomically diverse student population. For the 2024‑2025 academic year, we enrolled over 17,000 students: 73% identified as Latinx, 6% as Asian/Pacific Islander, 2% as Black/African American, 15% as White, 1% as American Indian/Alaska Native, and 2% as multiracial. Responsibilities- Teach didactic and clinical application in the dental assisting program as assigned;
- Mentor and advise dental assisting students;
- Attend faculty meetings;
- Participate in the department and college activities;
- Serve on and QModel
Check committee as needed; - Participate in program review шлях, student learning outcome development and assessment to improve student learning;
- Teach assignments in a variety of instructional settings and times, including evenings, weekends, online or off‑campus, and large group instruction classes as needed;
- Otherwise fulfill all of the duties and responsibilities of instructors as required by Administrative Regulation 7122;
- Other duties as assigned.
All candidates must have evidence of responsiveness to and understanding of the diverse academic, socioeconomic, cultural, disability, gender identity, sexual orientation, and ethnic backgrounds of community college students, as these factors relate to the need for equity‑minded practice within the classroom; and
- Associate degree and six (6) years of occupational experience related to the subject of the course taught; or
Bachelor’s degree and two (2) years of occupational experience related to the subject of the course taught; - Current license in California as a Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) or immediate eligibility to obtain a California license; and
- Certification in coronal polish, x‑ray-taking, and sealants.
