- Providing instruction in Agriculture Department under the general direction of the Dean of Instruction, the position provides instruction in manufacturing technology on the Reedley College campus and/or at off-site community campus locations. the instructor will be responsible for:
- Teaching a full schedule of developmental and transfer level manufacturing technology courses as assigned;
- Teaching courses in blueprint reading, industrial materials, electricity, hydraulics, motor controls, programmable logic controllers, introduction to welding, introduction to machine shop, 2D and 3D CAD, robotics, lean manufacturing, and cooperative work experience;
- Teaching short term contract education classes to the program's industry partners;
- Participating in program review, including student learning outcome development and assessment, to improve student learning;
- Assisting in the operation of the manufacturing technology budget, facilities, and programs;
- Attending departmental, division, and faculty meetings including workshops;
- Serving on staff/college/district committees and contributing through appropriate committee assignments;
- Recruiting and advising students;
- Working with local manufacturing companies in the development and placement of on-the-job student internships;
- Work with Central Valley FAME and SJVMA to organize and maintain an active advisory committee of industry partners;
- Complete FAME USA instructor training to become a certified FAME instructor;
- Collaborate with industry partners to modify and develop curriculum for the program;
- Participating in departmental co-curricular activities such as clubs and related events;
