Nurse Practitioner; Outpatient

Adventist Health Reedley, serving the Central Valley since 2011, is a 49-bed acute care hospital with 60 clinics across 27 rural communities, offering primary and specialty care. Responsible for providing expert clinical care in general or specialty areas. Assesses, plans, and provides patient care in collaboration with attending physicians. Performs health assessments, diagnoses acute and chronic illnesses, writes prescriptions, and formulates treatment plans. Assists in medical/surgical care and evaluates responses with physicians.

• Preferred:
  Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN)
• Two years' relevant clinical experience (preferred)

  RN licensure in the state of practice
• Required:
  
  Nurse Practitioner (NP) licensure in the state of practice
• Required:
  
  CPR or BLS certification

• Conducts patient interviews, histories, and physical exams. Works under the scope of a nurse practitioner and as an agent of the physician.
• Provides patient education, explains diagnoses, treatments, and prognosis, and secures informed consent. Orders and interprets diagnostic studies. Ensures continuity of care.
• Documents patient care accurately and legibly. Administers medications, performs procedures, and writes medication orders under physician oversight.
• Uses cost-containment measures, prescribing only necessary medications and procedures.
• Performs additional duties as assigned.
