RAMC's Worksite Wellness Department is looking for a Medical Assistant to join the team!
ScheduleMonday & Thursdays
8:30AM-4:30PM
16 hours per week!
What you’ll doProvides medical assistance in a multi-skilled allied health profession whose practitioners work primarily in an ambulatory setting such as medical office and clinic. The Medical Assistant functions as a member of the health care team and performs clinical procedures as directed/trained by MD or RN.
Education and Training RequiredGraduated from an accredited school where a diploma in Medical Assistant is granted or equivalent education or competencies. BLS Certification required. DOT UDC Certified
BAT Certified
CAOCH Certified (preferred)
NIOSH Spirometry Certified for Silica (preferred)
Skills and Abilities
- Must be able to deal with multiple priorities in a calm way.
- Required decision making and problem solving skills.
- Excellent organizational skills.
- Excellent time management skills, able to prioritize.
- Resourceful - aware of resources available for use.
- Ability to work independently.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Basic computer knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and/or switchboard experience.
- Ability to use the following equipment: fax, photocopier, personal computer.
