About the opportunity
The Corporate Services Branch with the Ministry of Sask Builds and Procurement is seeking 2 full-time permanent Accounting Clerks. This position will work with both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivables units. The candidates will need to be customer service and detail-oriented team players who are highly organized and skilled at providing financial accounting services.
This role will challenge you to use strong analytical skills and computer skills. In the position of Accounts Receivable, you will learn accounting principles and practices to process payments for invoices, contract payments and travel expense statements, as well as general cost recovery invoices for shared services agreements. In the position of Accounts Payable you will learn to pay invoices, auditing of invoices, seeking approval of invoices and reconciliation of payments.
This position will not only require you to work independently but also interact with stakeholders who may be angry, upset and/or confused. You will also be the primary backup for other positions within the branch.
