Our client is looking for CPA Auditors with 3 to 5 years experience to help keep things fair, accurate, and clear.
Position Summary
You’ll audit financial records, check reports, and make sure funds are handled properly.
Key Responsibilities
Audit financial records for municipal offices and not-for-profit organizations
Review budgets, spending, and reports
Write clear audit reports and share your findings with those charged with governance
Give advice to improve how money is managed
Keep up with government, municipal, and not-for-profit rules and regulations
Work with client staff in a respectful and helpful way
Protect private information and follow confidentiality rules
Qualifications and Skills
CPA designation (required – please do not apply if you do not have your CPA )
Experience auditing, preferably with municipal/provincial government, public sector clients, and not-for-profit organizations
Proficiency with Case Ware and other accounting software
Strong knowledge of Canadian municipal rules and accounting standards
Understand public sector accounting standards (PSAS), not-for-profit organizations (ASNFPO) and audit software/data analysis tools
Very detail-oriented and able to spot small errors
Clear communicator who can explain audit results in plain words
Good at managing deadlines and multiple projects
Friendly, professional, and a good listener
