Living Skies Housing Authority, an agency providing support to the Ministry of Social Services, has an opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk on the Finance Team. This position will be a good fit for those with an office education background and accounting experience. The role will appeal to those who like to crunch numbers, enjoy a challenge, and being part of a team focused on accomplishing goals.
What you will do
Verify vouchers for accuracy and completeness
Enter payment information into the accounting systems
Process and distribute cheques
Verify purchase card statements/receipts for completeness
Maintain error logs to assist in identifying areas for improvement
Communicate with vendors, housing authorities and LSHA to resolve any identified issues or respond to queries
What we are looking for
Attention to detail
Ability to maintain confidentiality, good judgment
Above average interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
Time management skills, capable of meeting deadlines
What you will need
Completion of Grade 12 supported by one (1) year of practical experience
Knowledge of accounts payable is an asset
Proficient in computerized accounting and MS applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Elevated level of accuracy and speed in data entry
