Accountant, Bookkeeper​/ Accounting Clerk, Tax Accountant

We are seeking a detail-oriented Accountant to support our clients with accounting, payroll, and tax-related tasks. The ideal candidate has experience working with Canadian accounting standards and enjoys helping individuals and small businesses manage their finances.

This role offers an opportunity to work remotely with modern accounting tools and support clients with bookkeeping, payroll, and tax preparation.

Responsibilities

Maintain and update financial records using accounting software such as Quick Books, Xero or similar platforms

Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable

Perform bank and account reconciliations to ensure accuracy of financial data

Assist with bookkeeping and prepare financial reports

Support tax preparation for individuals and small businesses

Process payroll and ensure compliance with Canadian payroll regulations

Assist with budgeting and financial analysis

Ensure compliance with Canadian accounting and tax regulations

Qualifications

Experience working as an Accountant or Bookkeeper in Canada

Strong knowledge of accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliations

Experience with accounting software such as Quick Books, Xero or similar

Experience preparing personal or small business tax returns is an asset

Strong attention to detail and analytical skills

Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

Degree or certification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred

CPA designation or progress toward CPA is a plus
