THE ROLE
We are looking for an Apprentice Technician to join our team at Hyundai of Regina. The successful candidate is someone who is passionate about the automotive industry and eagerto contribute to our growing team.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIESThe Apprenticeposition is a fantastic starting opportunity within the automotive industry asit presents you with exposure to all departments in the dealership. In addition, you will be provided with exposure to inventory and customer engagement.
- The right individual will share a passion for providing a quality customer experience and have the opportunity to grow in an environment ofrespect, trust, honesty and collaboration.
- Dedicated to quality of workmanship, diagnostics and maintenancerepair as per required standards.
- Perform daily maintenance that will include lubrication, oil andfilter changes, tire rotations, accessory installations and scheduledmaintenance.
- Assist in diagnosis, repair and complete approved service on customer vehicles
- Accurately record the cause and correction of the issue in ourdealership software on customer repair orders
- Performs road tests to identify issues and subsequently confirmsrepairs are completed to a satisfactory level
- Provides Service Advisors a summary of additional maintenance or required work that needs to be performed
- Provides Service Advisors with accurate parts and labour estimatesthrough utilizing our dealership software
- Accurately record the cause and correction of the issue in ourdealership software on customer repair orders
- Completes the Technician portion and related inspection forms
- Maintains and follows manufacturer warranty policies and procedures
- Currently enrolled and actively pursuing an Automotive Journeyman Apprenticeship. Preference will be given to 2nd or 3rd year candidates.
- Requires clear written and oral communication skills and a willingness to attend training seminars and courses to expand professional development.
- Requires a valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract.
- Ability to carefully and safely drive both standard and automaticvehicles.
- Ability to lift and carry heavy items such as tires, tools and equipment.
