Job Summary
SAMGID TECHNICAL SERVICES AND GENERAL CONTRACTOR is seeking a detail-oriented and knowledgeable Site Project Inspector to join our growing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting ongoing and completed construction and electrical projects to ensure all work, materials, and equipment comply with applicable standards, including the Canadian Electrical Code, National Building Code, and National Fire Code.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct regular on-site inspections of projects to verify compliance with design specifications, construction drawings, and applicable codes.
Evaluate and approve equipment, tools, and materials used in construction and electrical installations.
Identify deficiencies or violations and report findings with recommended corrective actions.
Ensure adherence to health, safety, and quality control procedures on all sites.
Maintain detailed inspection reports, photographs, and documentation for project records.
Collaborate with project managers, site supervisors, electricians, and subcontractors to resolve any issues related to code compliance.
Stay up-to-date on changes in the Canadian Electrical Code, Building Code, and Fire Code.
Qualifications
Diploma or certification in Construction, Electrical Technology, Building Inspection, or related field.
Strong knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code, National Building Code, and National Fire Code.
Proven experience in construction or electrical inspection is an asset.
Excellent attention to detail and strong documentation skills.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and construction drawings.
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel to job sites across Saskatchewan.
