Seasonal Equipment Operator for Ministry of Highways

Become a vital part of the Ministry of Highways as a Seasonal Equipment Operator focused on pavement marking and provincial sign installation. This role involves extensive travel and teamwork in Saskatchewan’s Traffic Guidance Operations.

Reporting directly to the Crew Lead, you’ll ensure the quality and application of pavement markings across provincial highways. This position is key to maintaining safety and guiding traffic effectively. You'll also assist the sign crew as needed, adapting to seasonal demands while emphasizing safety and collaboration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Apply quality pavement markings accurately on highways

• Assist the provincial sign crew with installations

• Collaborate with the Crew Lead to ensure project success

• Travel extensively within the assigned geographic area

• Work seasonally with potential for layoffs and recalls

Requirements:

• Valid driver's license for travel and operation

• Experience operating equipment for road work

• Strong organizational skills in a team setting

• Ability to work away from home up to five days a week
