Your primary role will be to serve as the first contact in emergencies, employing strong communication and decision-making abilities. The position includes comprehensive initial and ongoing training, emphasizing skill enhancement in a modern communications environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Respond effectively to 9-1-1 emergency calls

• Collect vital information from callers

• Provide reassurance and assistance during crises

• Dispatch fire and rescue services accordingly

• Support the centre’s development and operations

Requirements:

• Grade 12 Diploma or equivalent required

• Typing proficiency of 35 WPM or higher

• Clear Criminal Record Check is necessary

• Must complete on-the-job training

• Ability to adapt to a rotating shift schedule
