Responsibilities
  • Provide in person instruction to 14 practical nursing students in classroom, lab and clinical experiences.
  • Teach practical nursing skills courses including in-class instruction, marking of assignments and exams, assessment and communication of student progress.
  • Plan, organize, and administer accompanying lab component of skills course as well as assist with pharmacology labs and skills testing.
  • Participate as part of the practical nursing team in meetings and planning as required.
Qualifications
  • Registered Nurse – Bachelor’s degree in nursing, currently registered with the CRNS
  • Up to date TLR, CPR/BLS.
  • Two years of recent experience on a medical or surgical acute care unit.
  • Knowledge of Métis culture and ability to work with people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, Microsoft PowerPoint, and Brightspace LMS is an asset.
  • Mother/baby unit experience is an asset.
Remuneration

GDI Faculty 2 salary grid plus benefits package

Term

August 2025 – 2 years with the possibility of extension
