Responsibilities
Grading Assignments and Exams: Provide fair and constructive feedback to help students improve.
Facilitating Discussions: Lead study groups or discussion sessions to deepen understanding of course material.
Assisting Instructors: Help prepare teaching materials, organize class activities, and manage online learning platforms.
Holding Office
Hours:
Offer additional support in person to students needing extra help or clarification; time as agreed upon with the instructor.
Compiling Grades: Accurately record and maintain student grades as requested by instructors.
Proctoring Exams: Ensure academic integrity during in-person examinations.
Providing Administrative Support: Assist with various administrative tasks to ensure the smooth operation of courses.
Official GTA duties are assigned by the instructor and will vary depending on the instructor, the course and the semester. GTAs work a maximum of 120 hours assigned by the Hill School of Business. Duties will normally consist of assisting with the instructional program of undergraduate courses, and/or marking assignments or tests; invigilation of texts and exams; and/or leading lab sections with associated marking, preparation and assignments.
On-campus presence is required.
