This initiative will develop our instructors professionally while ensuring a high quality learning experience for all Saskatchewan Polytechnic students.

Job Duties /Qualifications,

Skills and Abilities

(QSA)

Provide instruction in general science, math and physics classes to post‑secondary students in a wide variety of programs.

Prepare for and use appropriate delivery methods for instructional assignments.

Manage his/her classroom/lab/activities to ensure an optimum learning environment for students.

Use appropriate methods of evaluating and recording student progress.

Make necessary curriculum adjustments to course content.

Accommodate students with special learning needs.

Attend staff, program and division meetings.

Pursue professional development opportunities to keep current with industry and educational requirements.

Practice good interpersonal and communication skills.

Work cooperatively in an interdependent “team” environment.

Follow any academic regulations and/or policies adopted by Sask Polytech and/or the Campus.

Bachelor of Science (Physics or Mathematics/Statistics).

Two years’ recent relevant business or industry experience or post‑secondary teaching experience.

Demonstrates valuing diversity.
