Job Duties
Prepare and deliver lessons, assignments, lectures and demonstrations for educational purposes.
Supervise students in classroom, practicums, labs, and during tours.
Evaluate students through the use of exams, assignments and observations.
Record student progress through evaluations, student-instructor meetings, and observations.
Develop collegial relationships with external agencies to secure appropriate experience for students.
Counsel students and prospective students on matters pertaining to the program and job opportunities.
Assist in/arrange for equipment maintenance/repair within the program and order supplies.
Attend whenever possible, staff meetings, trade seminars, workshops, etc. to keep current with industry and educational requirements.
Practice good interpersonal skills and a willingness to work in a “team” environment.
Communicate in a clear and concise manner both orally and in written form.
Qualifications, Skills, Abilities and Experience (QSA)

Required Qualifications ,

Skills and Abilities

Graduate from the two-year Graphic Communications Program at Saskatchewan Polytechnic, OR two years of related post-secondary education in graphic communications / graphic design.
Two years related work experience in graphic design.
Evidence of practical competence in graphic design – a portfolio of work that includes graphic design samples in visual identity, marketing and advertising, publication, packaging, environmental, art and illustration.
Evidence of practical proficiency in file preparation for online content, digital printing, wide format, offset printing, vinyl signage and screen printing.
Demonstrated competence in Adobe Creative Cloud Software – InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat, Lightroom, and Bridge.
Demonstrated competence and recent experience in the use of Macintosh and Microsoft operating systems, the internet, e-mail, MS Office Suite software and/or ability to learn and adapt to changing technology.
Effective problem-solving skills.
Effective instructional ability.
Ability to function as a team member in an ever-changing environment.
Demonstrates valuing diversity.
