Sessional Lecturer BUS 100 009/089/099 (Introduction to Business) - Fall 2026
The Hill Levene School of Business at the University of Regina invites applications for one Sessional Lecturer to teach the following hybrid course during the Fall 2026 semester:

Course: BUS 100 – Introduction to Business

Course start:
September 14, 2026 – December 11, 2026

Final exam:
Monday, December 14, 2026, 16:00 – 18:45

Maximum enrollment: 60 students

Hybrid (on‑site/remote) format; lectures on Mondays, 4:00 p.m. – 6:45 p.m.

Sessional Lecturers teaching in person on campus are expected to conduct 13 synchronous classes throughout the semester.

Responsibilities

Prepare the course outline, design relevant assignments, evaluate and grade student work, and submit student grades on time;

Teach course content that follows the course description, established learning objectives, and university academic guidelines;

Deliver 13 two‑and‑a‑half‑hour lectures throughout the semester (unless otherwise discussed with the Associate Dean);

Encourage and maintain a safe and collaborative classroom environment;

Provide regular support to students on course work as required before and after each class, during office hours, and as requested by students;

Meet all submission deadlines as outlined by the Hill School of Business;

Consult with the Associate Dean (Undergraduate Programs) on academic or student‑related matters as needed; and

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Graduate and/or PhD/doctorate degree in a discipline relevant to the course subject area (a bachelor’s degree coupled with relevant professional business experience may also be considered);

Superior written and verbal communication skills;

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for academic reporting;

Recent teaching experience in a post‑secondary environment is an asset.

Physical Demands & Pay
As per URFA Collective Agreement. Faculty Sessional salary range is as per the agreement. The Sessional Lecturer is expected to teach on campus for each of the 13 lectures, arrive 10‑15 minutes before each session, and offer regular office hours each week.
