Teach SOC 100:
Introduction to Sociology at Great Plains College in Swift Current, with a unique face-to-face and remote format. Engage students in core sociological concepts and analyses every Monday from 1:00 PM to 3:45 PM.
The University of Regina is seeking an experienced Sessional Lecturer for SOC 100. This role requires an M.A. in Sociology or a related field, with preference given to Ph.D. candidates. Your expertise in university-level teaching will help students explore significant sociological themes including culture and socialization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare and deliver engaging sociology lectures
• Facilitate discussions on cultural and socialization processes
• Guide students in understanding global societal structures
• Assess student performance through assignments and exams
• Provide academic support and mentorship
Requirements:
• M.A. in Sociology or related field;
Ph.D. preferred
• Proven teaching competence in sociology
• Successful experience in a university-level environment
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada
• Commitment to diversity and inclusion in education
