The instructor will deliver the course on campus face-to-face on Fridays from 08:30-11:15. Instructors are expected to have one office hour per week and may have preparatory work before the start date and grading tasks after the termination date.

Position Summary:
IS 440:
Advanced Topics In International Affairs – seminar course focused on contemporary issues in international affairs with an emphasis on how political, economic, social and cultural aspects are interrelated.

Position Requirements
MA or PhD in International Studies, Political Science or related discipline. Preference order:
PhDs; all PhD coursework completed and enrolled in a PhD program; all PhD coursework completed but not currently enrolled; enrolled in a PhD program but not yet completed coursework;
Master’s degree.
Experience with teaching or research related to the course’s subject matter.
A record of effective teaching at the post‑secondary level.
Applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada, and the work must be performed within Canada.
Documentation Demonstrating Teaching Experience and Effectiveness
A teaching philosophy statement.
All course outlines and aggregated student evaluations from the last two academic years in which the applicant taught university‑level courses.
At least one of the following documents: student comments from teaching evaluations; a letter of peer evaluation of teaching; or a reflective teaching statement with an emphasis on recent teaching.
