Prairie Valley School Division seeks a part-time Nutrition Coordinator to foster healthy eating habits for students in grades Pre-K to 12. In this role, you will oversee food service operations, ensuring a balanced menu and compliance with health standards. Your focus will be on collaboration with staff and effective inventory management while creating a nurturing atmosphere for all.
Key Responsibilities:
• Promote healthy eating through menu planning and food preparation
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in food service areas
• Manage inventory and place orders efficiently
• Assist in controlling the nutrition budget
• Collaborate with school staff on food studies courses
Requirements:
• Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
• Experience in commercial kitchen operations
• Knowledge of food safety standards
• Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
• Basic math skills for inventory and pricing
