Looking for an instructor to teach ECON 253 at the University of Regina this fall, focusing on economic issues related to Canada's health care. This role will enhance students' understanding through direct engagement.
This sessional position covers the economic perspective of the Canadian health care system, scheduled on campus for Fall 2026, with classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 11:30 am to 12:45 pm. The course aims to clarify misconceptions and assess both economic costs and social benefits compared to other countries' systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Conduct lectures and discussions on health care economics
• Assess student performance through various evaluations
• Develop a teaching dossier highlighting effectiveness
• Encourage critical thinking among students
• Communicate ongoing course changes and updates
Requirements:
• Master's degree in Economics or equivalent
• Eligibility to work in Canada
• Previous teaching experience is an asset
• Strong commitment to inclusive pedagogy
• Availability for course-specific hours
