Join the University of Regina to teach SOC 100:
Introduction to Sociology this Fall 2026 in Saskatoon. Shape future sociologists in a dynamic classroom setting each Monday morning.
The sessional lecturer role for SOC 100 is open for the Fall 2026 term, with classes running from September 1 to December 7, 2026. This face-to-face role includes conducting engaging lectures, facilitating discussions, and providing constructive feedback on assignments, along with holding one office hour per week. After the term, prior preparation and grading might be required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Deliver lectures for Introduction to Sociology
• Facilitate interactive classroom discussions
• Assess and provide feedback on student assignments
• Conduct weekly office hours for student engagement
• Manage grading and preparation following the course
Requirements:
• M.A. in Sociology or relevant social science field
• Ph.D. preferred for this position
• Successful experience in teaching at the university level
• Proven competence in the subject matter
• Supporting documentation of teaching effectiveness
