Residence Manager – Women  Luther College High School invites applications for the role of Residence Manager – Women for the  academic year. Reporting to the Vice Principal of Student Life, this position is responsible for supervision, administration, guidance, and development of the residence program and tending to the general welfare of students. The successful applicant is required to live in a suite on campus.

Duties to commence approximately August 17, 2026.
Responsibilities  Residence Student Support   Responsible for the general welfare of all female dormitory students through direct oversight of day-to-day management of girls’ dorm.
Implement a dorm curriculum through weekly meetings with dorm students. Share in the planning and supervision of two monthly dorm activities.
Support the social, academic, and personal adjustment of students to dorm life and school.
Serve as a positive role model and mentor to residence students.
Supervision of dorm activities (ex. gymnasium usage).
Supporting Student Health   Administer prescription and over-the-counter medications and chart accurately.
Train Residence Assistants in correct medication dispensing and charting.
Perform regular medication audits and make necessary corrections.
Provide first-aid intervention and emergency response as required.
Take current Applied Suicide Intervention Skills Training, Assessment of Risk to Others Training, and Standard First Aid/CPR training.
With the RN, create a Safety Plan for students at risk of self-injury or suicide.
Accompany students to medical appointments and provide feedback to RN.
Fill out Incident Reports as needed.
Assist students in applying for HSN cards and ensure cards are up to date.
Administration   Schedule and track Residence Assistant shifts and manage a staff of team members including a tutor and library specialist.
Collaborate with Human Resources and Administration staff in hiring new residence employees.
Track residence attendance, illness etc.
Communicate with parents/guardians of residence students and keep them informed of student progress.
Communicate with teachers, nurses and other staff regarding residence students, check in daily with students and Residence Assistants, and assist with tracking document renewals for international students.
Oversee the dorm budget by tracking expenses, communicating with finance, and submitting budget requests for the next school year.
Maintain working relationships with all operational areas of the College including staff in the Main Office, Recruitment and Admissions, and teachers, tutors, maintenance, cafeteria, and IT staff.
Other duties as required.
Qualifications   Undergraduate degree completed or may also consider a candidate currently working on completing a degree.
Experience working with and counselling youth preferred.
Previous knowledge of residence life and activities and knowledge of residence administration procedures would be considered an asset.
An understanding of the Luther College experience, both academic and residence, would be considered an asset.
Superior ability to plan, undertake, and assess the effectiveness of processes and plans.
Exceptional communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, problem-solving/troubleshooting, and decision-making skills.
Ability to work productively as part of a team and independently.
Cultural sensitivity and the ability to relate well to students, parents, staff, and the public.
