As a Volunteer Adult Literacy Coach, you'll be instrumental in helping adult learners achieve their literacy objectives. The flexible schedule allows you to meet in-person or over Zoom, making it convenient for both you and your learner. Training and materials are provided to ensure you have the tools needed to support diverse literacy goals.
Key Responsibilities:
• Assess and identify learning goals for adult participants
• Create and implement customized lesson plans
• Provide one-on-one coaching and encouragement
• Maintain regular communication with Foundations’ staff
• Collect feedback from learners to improve the program
Requirements:
• Minimum age of 18 years
• Completion of a Police Record Check
• Required participation in orientation and training
• Dedicated to fostering adult literacy
• Skills in adapting instruction to meet learner needs
