Foundations Learning & Skills Saskatchewan is looking for mentors to assist adults in enhancing their literacy competencies. In this rewarding volunteer role, you’ll assess learners’ strengths and set clear goals based on their individual needs. Comprehensive training ensures you’re equipped with effective strategies and resources.
Key Responsibilities:
• Work collaboratively with adult learners to improve literacy
• Design individualized lesson plans tailored to goals
• Conduct sessions in public libraries or online
• Engage in regular feedback loops with coordinators
• Foster a supportive learning environment for all participants
Requirements:
• 18 years or older
• Police Record Check mandatory
• Required training and orientation prior to coaching
• Strong dedication to educational support
• Flexibility in teaching methods as per learner's abilities
