Engage students in sociological insights on inequality and social justice at the University of Regina. This Winter 2027 position combines face-to-face teaching in Swift Current with remote sections.
The University of Regina is seeking an instructor for SOC 208-022/281/302 for Winter 2027. Ideal candidates hold an M.A. in Sociology while those with a Ph.D. are preferred. Responsibilities include delivering engaging lectures, preparing teaching materials, conducting office hours, and evaluating student progress throughout the course duration.
Key Responsibilities:
• Teach face-to-face classes in Swift Current with remote sections
• Conduct classes on Mondays from 1:00 PM to 3:45 PM
• Prepare instructional materials and grading reports
• Hold weekly office hours for student support
• Complete administrative tasks related to the course
Requirements:
• M.A. in Sociology or a related field required
• Competence in teaching course material
• Successful university teaching experience
• Legal eligibility to work in Canada
• Evidence of teaching effectiveness and qualifications
