Luther College at the University of Regina ((Use the "Apply for this Job" box below).) invites applications for a 9-month full-time term position (commencing as soon as possible until June 30, 2027) in the role of Student Recruitment Officer.
Working within the strategic direction established by the Director of Recruitment, the Student Recruitment Officer supports the implementation and evaluation of recruitment strategies and contributes to the achievement of enrolment and residence occupancy goals for Luther academic programs and The Student Village residence. The role also includes responsibility for structured pipeline development from Luther College High School (LCHS) and the administration of institutional high school partnership awards programs.
The position is accountable for ensuring the effective delivery and performance of recruitment activities. The role exercises sound judgment in managing recruitment operations, stakeholder relationships, and day-to-day decision-making, while consulting with the Director of Recruitment on strategic direction, priority setting, and complex or non-routine matters.
Responsibilities
Recruitment Outreach and Event Delivery
Represent Luther College at on- and off-campus recruitment events, including education and career fairs, school and community visits, University of Regina events, and other prospective student engagements, promoting both academic programs and The Student Village (TSV) residence.
Lead the planning and execution of complex, multi-stakeholder recruitment initiatives (e.g., UPrep, Information Night, orientation programs, guest lectures, and institutional visits), ensuring alignment with enrolment and residence objectives.
Coordinate all logistical components of recruitment events, including scheduling, transportation, stakeholder coordination, registration management, and on-site execution.
Provide direction to faculty, staff, student ambassadors, and volunteers participating in recruitment activities to ensure effective delivery.
Provide event planning and delivery support for The Student Village “Brunch and Learn” recruitment events, contributing to academic and residence recruitment and conversion objectives.
Presentations and Student Engagement
Present the University of Regina Recruitment presentation according to the required script and parameters
Design, develop, and deliver custom recruitment presentations for diverse audiences, including high school visits, information sessions, and special events.
Adapt messaging to effectively promote Luther academic programs and TSV residence, using audience insights and recruitment strategies to influence application, enrollment, and residency decisions.
Represent Luther College at high school graduation ceremonies by presenting entrance scholarships and awards, supporting recruitment messaging, student engagement, and enrollment conversion.
Enrollment Counseling and Student Support
Serve as a primary point of contact for prospective students, residents, and their families.
Provide enrollment counseling on academic programs, admissions processes, and residence options, including TSV.
Guide prospective students through the application and enrollment process, including both academic and residence applications, ensuring timely follow-up and progression to confirmed enrolment and residency.
Conduct campus tours, including tours of TSV residence, and coordinate customized campus visit experiences to support recruitment objectives.
