Technical Director for Software Engineering

Location: Moose Jaw

Drive technical innovation in software engineering as a hands-on Technical Director. Collaborate with the CTO on full stack development, focusing on Go and Rust while mentoring a skilled engineering team.

This position involves a balance of leadership and coding, as you manage product development and guide a team of around 5 leads. Your strategic insights will drive project execution, maintaining a focus on both speed and quality in technical outcomes. You will be key in fostering a culture of ownership and growth among your team members.

Key Responsibilities:

• Own product development processes and roadmap

• Convert business objectives into clear technical strategies

• Mentor and develop engineering team leads

• Manage talent acquisition for engineering roles

• Engage in hands-on engineering tasks and code reviews

Requirements:

• 8+ years of software engineering experience

• At least 3 years managing teams of 15+ engineers

• Strong skills in Go, Rust, and Vue/Type Script

• Startup experience preferred over enterprise

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field required
