Job Overview
Electrical Engineering Technologist at Interpro Pipe & Steel Inc., Regina – responsible for designing, installing, maintaining, programming, configuring, and troubleshooting electrical machinery, controls, industrial automation and data acquisition systems.
Responsibilities- Receive wiring diagrams, drawings, specifications and instructions for scheduled and emergency repair, installation, and inspection work.
- Analyze circuits, wiring diagrams and drawings, and install, repair, adjust, calibrate, construct, modify or service electronic devices and systems.
- Plan work procedures, determine material or replacement needs, and troubleshoot and repair problems.
- Prepare sketches of parts and layouts, design and construct adaptations or conversions of component parts.
- Complete mechanical and electrical repairs in connection with servicing electronic equipment.
- Inspect, dismantle, service, reassemble, test and adjust equipment for safe and proper operation.
- Plan and perform work requiring thorough knowledge of electrical and electronic principles, wiring specification codes, materials, and operation of equipment.
- Fabricate parts using machine and hand tools common to the trade.
- Understanding of Lock Out / Tag Out Procedures.
- Diploma from a recognized Electrical Engineering Technology Program;
Grade 12 or equivalent. - Minimum 2 years of experience in an Electrical Engineering Technology role.
- Understanding and knowledge of lean manufacturing principles.
- Knowledge of OH&S regulations and safety standards.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
