NATURE OF WORK
The individualwilllead and conductwater and wastewater systemanalysistoalign ourmunicipal infrastructure planning with City’s growth and housing strategies.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Ability to carry out Project Management duties for a project from project inception to closure.

Interpret and analyze data, information, processes, programs and problems and develop options, solutions,improvements and recommendations.

Manage and review the work of engineering consultants and contractors.

Prepare Terms of Reference for proposed projects and review proposals for engineering services.

Reviewreports,drawings, specifications,andplans from internal branches,engineeringconsultants,and developers to make sure they meet City specifications.

Manage projects, work programs and budgets, including contract administration.

Responsible for coordinating, consulting, negotiating, and collaborating with internal and external agencies and stakeholders.

Prepare technical and business reports for presentations, public responses, internalmemos,and other documents.

Initiate, develop and conduct public consultation and information programs.

Maintain andoperatespecializedanalysis software and be able to interpret results, produce reports (e.g.software involving water distribution modelling, waterwastercollection modelling and storm water modellingor capacity analysis).

Represent the Department and participate in meetings of Committee and Council, other departments, public meetings and meetings with consultants and contractors.

Perform related duties as required.

QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge, Abilities And Skills
Knowledge of the principles and practices of engineering and planningofwater, wastewater and stormwater systems.

Working knowledge of modeling tools (i.e.WaterCAD(OpenFLows), Info Works,ArcGIS, and/ orotherpipe flow related modeling tools) fordesign,andcollection/ distribution system wide capacity assessment.

Knowledge of the principles of organization, supervision and administration and the ability to effectively apply these principles.
