Financial Reporting Analyst SK

AGT Foods is seeking a Financial Reporting Analyst to join our Regina Head Office team.

The Financial Reporting Analyst (FRA) will be a key part of the monthly and quarterly financial reporting process.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to monthly and quarterly consolidation and financial reporting processes
• Ensure timely and accurate information is provided to stakeholders
• Prepare / review journal entries
• Prepare account reconciliations
• Assist with preparation of quarterly financial statements including note preparation/review, financial statement tie outs and rolls, etc.
• Assist the financial reporting team with various monthly and quarterly tasks including variance analysis templates, subsidiary consolidation schedule tie outs, etc.
• Liaise with foreign subsidiaries and auditors on various financial reporting and audit related matters
• Provide backup coverage to various accounting team members creating excellent learning opportunities and breadth
• Other accounting and finance duties as necessary

Skills and Abilities

• CPA designation or actively enrolled in the CPA Professional Education Program
• 3-6 years of experience preferred
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel & Outlook
• Attention to planning, process, and detail
• Quick learner
• Desire for continued improvement and understanding
• Able to communicate effectively with different internal groups around the world
