The Ministry of Finance is responsible for the Government of Saskatchewan’s financial system. The newly implemented financial system is an Oracle Cloud based software that consists of Enterprise Resource Planning and Enterprise Performance Management modules such as GL, AP, AR, Fixed Assets, Cash Management and Financial and Workforce Planning. The Financial Shared Services Branch within the Provincial Comptroller’s Office of the Ministry of Finance, provide configuration and support services to all financial users of the application.
The Financial Shared Services Branch is seeking a client service-focused individual to join its Financial Business System Configuration and Support Team as a Configuration Analyst within the Accounts Payables. Fixed Assets and Project area. This position is responsible for providing a combination of business analysis, system configuration, procedure/process development, training, and Tier III help-desk support in relation to Accounts Payables, Fixed Assets and Project, including:
As a Configuration Analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing and evaluating requirements, recommending solutions, modifying reports, and in some cases working closely with third party support resources in designing, developing and testing system changes to ensure continued accurate financial processing.
Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills are required to evaluate and resolve complex systems issues. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential in order to develop a variety of documents such as project plans, business requirements, and procedure guides in order to communicate this information with both technical and non-technical clients.
The Configuration Analyst position is responsible for consulting and communicating as a business expert in many system functions, including Accounts Payables and Expenses.
Typically, the knowledge required for this position would be obtained through a post-secondary education in Business Administration (with a focus on Accounting) and/or Computer Science. Similar combinations of experience and education will also be considered.
