Network Support Analyst
Position Overview
The Network Support Analyst will provide technical expertise in supporting Sask Power's network infrastructure. The role involves monitoring, troubleshooting, maintaining, and optimizing the network environment to ensure reliability, performance, and security. The analyst will be expected to support both on-premises and cloud-integrated environments.
Key Responsibilities
  • Monitor and maintain Sask Power's enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless.
  • Perform network troubleshooting, diagnostics, and resolution of incidents in compliance with SLA timelines.
  • Implement changes, upgrades, and patches following Sask Power's change management process.
  • Assist in network performance tuning and capacity planning.
  • Support firewall, routing, and switching configurations.
  • Ensure compliance with security standards, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide on-call support and respond to after-hours incidents as required.
  • Work collaboratively with Sask Power technical teams and vendors to resolve escalated issues.
  • Prepare technical documentation, diagrams, and operational runbooks.
  • Mandatory Qualifications
  • Education/

    Certifications:

    Post-secondary degree or diploma in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field. Industry certifications such as Cisco CCNA/CCNP, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent.
  • Experience: Demonstrated experience in network support, including configuration and troubleshooting of switches, routers, and firewalls. Hands-on experience with enterprise networking tools and monitoring platforms. Proven ability to work within ITIL or similar service management frameworks.
  • Desired Qualifications
  • Exposure to cloud networking (Azure, AWS, or similar).
  • Experience with network automation tools (, Ansible, Python scripting).
  • Knowledge of VoIP, DNS, DHCP, and load balancers.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage complex incidents.

    Primarily onsite at Regina, Saskatchewan (with potential for hybrid work, depending on project needs).
  • Contract Needs:
    May require after-hours or on-call availability.

  • Work Requirements: May include after-hours and on-call support Standard Sask Power business hours:
