The IT Services and Support Branch, Finance and Corporate Services Division of the Ministry of Social Services requires a champion, change agent and ambassador for the Service Requestors using Service Now and act as Team Administrator for the ministry’s instance of Azure Dev Ops. This position will support related processes for both systems, encouraging best practices and adherence to defined operational roles.
In this role, you will support business operations and enhancement initiatives for the ministry’s instance of Service Now and Azure Dev Ops operations tools. Key tasks include:
Integrating new requirements (quarterly and yearly upgrades) to existing tools and practices, while establishing thorough support procedures and training materials for a smooth transition.Providing first line of support to business and technical teams, optimizing processes and tool adaptability.Creating and documenting processes for support teams and staff using the tools, ensuring effective comprehension through hands on training with systems functionality.The successful candidate should have a strong IT background, particularly in service delivery, with knowledge related to service request and development operations tools (e.g., Service Now or Azure Dev Ops) being considered an asset.
Your role will require:
Proficiency in system testing and adeptness with standard office technology and communication tools.Familiarity with screen capture tools and an eagerness to adapt to new technologies as necessary is essential.Strong verbal and written communication, analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills are crucial.A demonstrated enthusiasm for collaborative work within diverse cross-functional teams is required.Effective presentation skills, using a variety of styles and formats, to both small and large audiences are part of the role's expectations.Bachelor degree in computer science, other technical training or a combination of work experience and technical training is an asset.Candidates are asked to clearly indicate how they have gained the required experience.
