About AI Training Work

AI training is the human side of building artificial intelligence. Expert contributors create examples, evaluate model outputs, and define the standards that help AI systems produce more accurate and useful results.

In this role, your Revenue Operations knowledge will shape realistic enterprise workflows and help determine whether an AI agent can reason correctly about business records, transactions, and operational outcomes.

  • Work remotely with a computer and internet connection
  • Apply practical domain expertise to cutting-edge AI development
  • Help make advanced AI systems more reliable and useful
The Revenue Operations AI Task Author Role

Open Train is seeking a Revenue Operations AI Task Author to create and calibrate expert tasks used to train and evaluate advanced AI agents. You will translate practical Rev Ops and Sales Ops knowledge into realistic scenarios involving CRM records, orders, communications, fulfillment, bookings, and recognized revenue.

The role combines operational judgment with the discipline of making every task objectively gradable. You will work with business workflows and data to create challenges that have precise, verifiable standards for correctness.

  • Create enterprise AI tasks based on authentic Revenue Operations scenarios
  • Combine operational knowledge with structured evaluation criteria
  • Work 20 or more hours per week as a part-time contractor
What You’ll Do

You will author realistic prompts based on bookings reconciliation, account discrepancies, fulfillment status, and recognized revenue. You will write scoring rubrics that define precise, verifiable criteria for correct answers and configure task environments that reflect business systems used in real enterprise workflows.

You will solve tasks yourself to validate their soundness and the accuracy of each rubric. You will test tasks against AI models and refine complexity, ambiguity, or workflow steps until the intended challenge level is reached. You will also review and correct AI-drafted prompts and rubrics when needed.

  • Write prompts involving bookings, accounts, fulfillment, and recognized revenue
  • Create scoring rubrics with objectively verifiable correctness criteria
  • Configure task environments that reflect enterprise workflows
  • Solve tasks to validate their design and scoring
  • Test tasks against AI models and calibrate their difficulty
  • Review and correct AI-generated prompts and rubrics
Required Qualifications

You should have hands-on experience in Revenue Operations, Sales Operations, or a closely related enterprise function, including experience in an industrial or enterprise environment. Strong familiarity with CRM systems such as Salesforce is required, along with the ability to query and interpret account and bookings data.

You should understand bookings, fulfillment pipelines, and revenue recognition concepts. You must be able to establish correctness standards that can be checked rather than relying only on general judgment.

  • Revenue Operations or Sales Operations experience
  • CRM and Salesforce proficiency
  • Ability to query and interpret account and bookings data
  • Practical knowledge of bookings and fulfillment pipelines
  • Understanding of revenue recognition concepts
  • Ability to create precise, objectively verifiable scoring criteria
Helpful Background

Experience training or evaluating AI tools in a sales or revenue context is useful. Experience in enterprise B2B environments with complex deal structures is also helpful.

You should be comfortable explaining how domain expertise can become a challenging but objectively gradable AI task. Comfort working across email, chat, dashboards, and other business communication tools is important, as is an iterative approach to testing, refinement, and calibration.

  • AI training or evaluation experience in a sales or revenue context
  • Enterprise B2B experience with complex deal structures
  • Comfort working across email, chat, dashboards, and business tools
  • An iterative approach to testing and task refinement
